Intro — AI for Small Business
Run marketing, customer service, and ops with the leverage of a 5-person team. This course is the AI playbook for solo founders, freelancers, and tiny teams.
If you run a small business — solo, side-hustle, or with a tiny team — AI is the single biggest leverage tool you can use this year. By the end of this course, you’ll have:
- A monthly content calendar that actually gets posted
- Customer service responses that sound like you (not a bot)
- A 30-minute weekly ops review that runs on autopilot
- Templates and Custom GPTs you’ll keep using forever
This course assumes you don’t have a marketing team. You don’t have a CS team. You’re it. AI fills the gaps.
Why small businesses win biggest with AI
You don’t have a marketing department. You don’t have ops people. Every hour you spend on admin is an hour you can’t spend on the actual product or your customers.
AI gives you:
- A copywriter on call 24/7 (writing emails, social posts, product descriptions)
- A customer-service drafter (responses ready to edit and send in 30 seconds)
- An analyst (read your spreadsheet and tell you what’s interesting)
- A virtual assistant (summarize meetings, draft replies, draft contracts)
Big companies have these. You can have them too.
What this course covers
- Lesson 1 — Marketing on Autopilot: Build a monthly content calendar (social, email, blog) that you can actually execute as a one-person team.
- Lesson 2 — Customer Service That Sounds Like You: Templates and a Custom GPT that drafts responses in your voice.
- Lesson 3 — The 30-Minute Weekly Ops Review: A repeatable AI workflow that turns your week’s data into 5 decisions.
What you’ll need
- An AI tool (Claude or ChatGPT — both work; Claude wins slightly for writing).
- 30–45 minutes per lesson.
- Real samples: your current marketing copy, 5 past customer emails, last month’s revenue/sales data (a CSV is fine).
- Optional but ideal: a Custom GPT or Claude Project to save your brand voice once and reuse forever.
A note on brand voice
The single biggest mistake small-business owners make with AI: not training it on their voice.
If you skip that step, every email and post sounds like ChatGPT. Customers can tell. The trust you’ve built erodes.
Every lesson in this course has a step where you give AI samples of your writing. Don’t skip it. Five minutes of voice-priming saves you hours of editing forever after.
